Registration for 2022/2023 opens Monday, August 1, 2022

Registration is a 4 step process:

Step 1 – Visit the Services NSW web site to apply for your $100 Active Kids Voucher for each child you are registering for Little Athletics. Eastern Suburbs Little Athletics Centre is a registered activity provider and you will be able to claim a $100 discount off your registration fee for each child registered. To claim your $100 discount you will need to enter your child’s voucher number during the online registration process through the Little Athletics NSW website.

Step 2 – All registrations are done online through Little Athletics NSW.

Register Online Today!

All registration payments should be made online at the time of registration by clicking the “Submit Application & Pay Online” button when it is offered.

Step 3 – Registration can be completed by coming to our registration night (TBA). Athletes who have completed the online part of registration, including online payment, will be asked for their completed Working with Children Declaration LANSW 2019 and ESLAC Parental Obligations Aug 1, 2016 forms (these were downloaded as part of the online registration process and should be completed prior to attending the registration). Once the forms are received athletes are given a registration pack that includes their registration number and age group and sponsor patches.

Step 4 – This step only applies to athletes who are new to the club for the 2021/2022 season. You MUST bring a proof of age document that can be sighted by the club registrar so that the registered athlete’s age group can be confirmed. Birth certificate or passport are the preferred proof of age documents.

  • Remember, you are registering your little athletes, not yourself, so please ensure you enter the correct details i.e. make sure you use the Little Athlete’s name and not yours. When supplying an email address, be mindful that this is the email address the ESLAC committee will use to communicate with you about ESLAC events and information during the season.

If you are new to Little Athletics and would like to do a trial, please turn up to any Friday Night session at the appropriate time for your child and remember to sign in at the registration table.

Age Groups

For the 2021/22 Little Athletics season your age group is determined by your year of birth:

* Tiny Tots must be 3 years of age to start Little Athletics, so children born in September, October, November and December 2018 will need to wait until after their 3rd birthday to join in at Eastern Suburbs Little Athletics.

Parent obligations

  • Little Athletics is a volunteer organisation and we require parents/carers to assist with the running of Friday night competitions as much as is possible.
  • There are plenty of opportunities to assist and the children enjoy seeing their families get involved as well. Whether it be giving a hand on the BBQ, helping with data entry, assisting with marshalling on the straight or circular tracks or raking jump pits, many hands make the night enjoyable for all.
  • Parents can be of most help by studying the rules of events by visiting the E-Learning courses of the Australian Institute of Sport here.
  • Club coaches are in attendance to coach athletes and it is important that we make the most of this valuable resource. We can help coaches maximise their time with athletes by ensuring volunteer tasks such as raking pits and recording results are performed by parents/carers as organised by parent volunteer Age Managers.
  • ESLAC requires every child to be signed in with their Age Manager at start of competition and signed out when taken home.
  • IMPORTANT: please be aware that no child should be left on Friday nights to compete on their own. If a child is found to be left without a parent / carer present at the venue, they will be placed with a committee member until either a parent can be located, or appropriate authorities called to the venue.
