State Championships Information
Region 8 Regionals 3 & 4 February 24 –Sylvania Waters Athletics Track
Congratulations to all our competitors who braved the heat at Regionals over the weekend. It was truly a joy to see all the athletes in red, white and blue running jumping and throwing to the best of their ability. We had an enormous improvement on the Zone times and distances, denoted by the asterisk on the results sheet, with many qualifying for one or more events at State at the end of March.
Thank you to our volunteers on the Javelin and Triple Jump, great to be up close with the action on the field. Thank you to the committee for being on hand to help with timetables and general questions over the weekend as well as some sharp relay training.
Our wonderful coaches Mal and Anne warmed up the children throughout the weekend, thank you both for your time, calmness and dedication.

Results We will have to wait and see the full list of qualifiers for State Championships after the other Regions have completed their Regionals at the weekend. Watch this space for the update.
