Back to School. Back to Little A’s. The second half of the season is now in full swing with numbers building up as families return from holidays. Rested and revitalised our athletes seem to be putting in personal best performances (PBs) with almost every event. Keep an eye out for the gold star that signifies a PB on the track results computer screen and ask your Age Manager for your field event PB which is listed on every results recording sheet.
Regional Championships Representatives. Eastern Suburbs LAC has 83 members representing the club at the Region 8 Championships being held from Friday Jan 30th to Sunday Feb 1st at the Sylvania Waters Athletics Track. Please click on ESLAC Region-8-Qualifiers 2014-15 for a full list of ESLAC Regional Reps and the events for which they have qualified. After payment of the $10 Regional Carnival entry fee, Regional Reps can pick up their rep shirts at the table to the north of the barbeque area this Friday night.
Regional Championships Duty Roster. Little Athletics is run by volunteers and a parent/carer of each regional representative is required to contribute to the running of the 2015 Region 8 Championships. ESLAC is providing officials for the Field Events Call Room, the Track Events Call Room and Discus 1/Javelin. Please refer to the Regional Athletics Roster 2015 to see day/time you are required to help out.
State Multi-Event Championships. The State Multi-Event Championships will be held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre on Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of March 2015. Entries close on Wednesday February 4th 2015.

The State Multi-Event Championships are of particular interest is for the U15 age group who can be selected for the state team to represent NSW at nationals.

Barbeque Roster. This Friday, January 30th, is the turn of the U10 Boys and U10 Girls to provide the volunteers for the barbeque. Consult the barbeque roster to see when your age group is providing volunteers. This will be the last time your age group is asked to volunteer this season, so take the opportunity now to contribute to successful running of our club.
