Who will be the Age Champions?/Cloudy but Fine!

Cloudy but Fine. The weather forecast for Friday March 13th is cloudy but mostly fine. There is a slight chance of light showers but nothing that would stop our competition night from going ahead tonight. Your ESLAC committee will monitor the weather radar and post a further update if required.

Who will be the Age Champions? This week is the last week that counts towards Age Championship points. Friday March 20th is the last competition night of the season but results on that night will not count towards the Age Championships points because there are State Championship events on the same evening. Age Championship points are awarded as follows:

Attendance Points: A point is awarded for every athlete that attends a Friday night competition.

Participation Points: A point is awarded for each event in which an athlete participates each competition night.

PB Points: A point is awarded each time an athlete sets a new PB (personal best performance) for an event.

Place Points: Points are awarded for places 1 to 6 with 1st place receiving 6 points, 2nd place 5 points, 3rd place 4 points, 4th place 3 points, 5th place 2 points and 6th place 1 point.

ESLAC State Reps Jumpers. Congratulations to the 33 Eastern Suburbs LAC athletes who have made it through to the State Championships on March 20th to 22nd. There are ESLAC State Rep jumpers for all ESLAC State Championships qualifiers, they can be collected at the ES Marks competition night on Friday March 13th from Meagan Doak next to the barbeque area.

Barbeque Roster. This Friday March 13th, it is the turn of the U8 Boys and U8 Girls to provide the volunteers for the barbeque. Consult the Barbeque Roster to see when your age group is providing volunteers. The barbeque is the major fund raiser for ESLAC during the season and it cannot be run successfully without the contribution of our wonderful volunteers. This will be the last time your age group is asked to volunteer this season, so take the opportunity to come along and help.
