What are the end of season Championships?

They began with the Zone Championships for Under 7s and up. Date January 12 & 13, ES Marks Field, Kensington. 

Six clubs in the Inner City Zone compete in the Zone Championship, the first stage of ultimately qualifying for a place at the State Track and Field Championships or even the Nationals. The clubs in the Inner City Zone are Randwick Botany, South Eastern, Canterbury, Balmain, Alexandria and Western Suburbs. In NSW, 24 different Zones compete in 8 Regional Carnivals

Regions, such as our No. 8 Region, formed from only two zones (Inner City and Southern Metropolitan – the latter contains the Helensburgh, Illawong, Port Hacking, Revesby, St.George and Sutherland clubs), automatically see the first 6 places in each Zone event progress through to the Regional carnival. Then a maximum of four next best qualifiers from each region will also be taken through to Regionals making a total of up to 16 athletes in each event at Regionals. Under 7 placegetters do not progress to the Regional Championships but do receive medals.

A total of 83 ESLAC athletes qualified for the  Region Championships. See the “Carnivals” menu.

Region Championships (solely for qualifiers from Zone Championships) January 31 and February 1, 2015. Sylvania Waters Athletic Track. When looking at the breakdown of our State Representatives by age group, we can see we have strong groups in the B9s and Senior Girls:- Numbers qualified by age group are: B9-7, G9-1, B10-4, G10-0, B11-3, G11-0, B12-0, G12-3, B13-2, G13-3, B14-0, G14-5, B15-1, G15-2, B17-2, G17-0.

State Multi-Championships. March 7 & 8, 2015. Homebush, open to U7s and up. A total of 17 ESLAC athletes registered:-B7 Jonah Saywell; G7 Arden Macaulay; B8 Luca Cleverley, Christian Kotis, Edward Lynch; G8 Lyla Maguire, Annika Wende, B9 Frankie Kogan, Oliver Rouse; G9 Marina Cooney; B10 Matteo Cleverley, William Lynch, Jackson Macaulay, Max Wende; B11 James Kotis; B13 Ethan Bateman; G13 Jemima Keay Doak. They will compete against 1,115 other athletes from LA centres across NSW.

State Track & Field Championships. March 20, 21, 22, 2015. (solely for qualifiers from Regional Championships). Sydney International Athletic Centre (SIAC), Homebush.
