2nd Last Night of the 2017/18 Season. Tonight is the second last night of our 2017/18 season. We are looking forward to continuing our great Friday night participation since Christmas with another good weather forecast for tonight. Please be reminded that next Friday the 16th of March will be our last night for this season which is a special end of season program that will also see the Tiny Tots receive their season medals. So make sure your Tiny Tots are ready for the season finale next week.
Age Champions Shields Returns. While the Tiny Tots get their medals next Friday the rest of us will have to wait for Trophy night at a date/venue TBA (some time in April). To see who will be crowned this season’s Age Champions and determine the top athletes in each age group, we are getting the results up to date and crunching the numbers. See our Club Championships Points System for details as to how points are worked out. The perpetual shields that went home with last year’s Age Champions will have to be returned so they can be buffed, updated and presented again. There will be a plastic tub at the Age Manager sign in table for shield returns, please put the shields in the sleeve provided so they don’t get scratched.
Event Series 3 this Friday. This Friday the 9th of March we will be running Event Series 3 which sees the Tots run 50m, the U6 and U7s run 50m and 70m, the U8 to U10s run a 100m/200m combination and the U11 to U17s run 100m and 800m. Please download the ESLAC Event Series 3 Feb 9, 2018 and the ESLAC ES Marks Event Locations Map Oct 6, 2017 so you can bring them along on Friday night and know what is scheduled for your age group and where you can find your group at any time.
Shot Put and High Jump Changes. Please note that the Senior High Jump will be at the southern end of ES Marks (near the storage shed) and the Scissor High Jump Mats will be set up at the northern end of ES Marks. The junior shot put circle (SP 3) will be moved to the new location next to Discus 1.
