Tiny Tots Season Medals Tonight. Tonight we will be presenting the Tiny Tots with their Season Medals. We do this on the last night of the season for our youngest age group because the trophy night (scheduled for April) tends to be too big a night for them (and their families) so they will be sent home with their awards tonight. We will set up the medal presentation dias at the south eastern part of the oval in front of the barbeque where the age flags are set up at the start of the night and have the Tiny Tots presentation at 6:40pm.
State Team Presentation. ESLAC has 27 athletes who will be competing in 55 events at the LANSW State Championships next weekend. It is a great achievement to represent your club, your family and of course yourself by competing at the State Championships and to celebrate this achievement, each athlete will receive a special award at 6pm, the start of our last night of the season. So please be on time and come and wish our State Team all the best tonight.
End of Season Program. There will be a few special events for tonight to make it a mixture of serious preparation for the State Championships on next weekend, fierce competition for Age Championship points and some fun. There will be an Egg and Spoon Race (at Relay A) for the Tots and U6’s and a Monster Obstacle Course for the U8 to U17 age groups and we will finish the night with the All Ages Relay at 7:40pm.
Hurdles, 400m and 800m tonight. The serious side of the program sees the Tots run 70m the U6’s and U7’s run 70m and 100m, the U9’s to U12’s run the 60m Hurdles and the U13’s to U17’s running 80/90/100/110m Hurdles with the U8’s to U11’s running 400m and the U12’s to U17’s running the 800m. Age Champion Shields. Could all of last season’s Age Champions please bring their Shields back to ES Marks tonight. We will need to engrave new names on each of the shields (whose names will go on the shields for this season?) so if you can remember to bring them back it will save a lot of chasing around in the lead up to trophy night.
