ESLAC State Reps Announced

FRIDAY Feb 22, 2019
CONSISTENT RAIN, SORRY!

Persistent Rain Squalls ESLAC Little A’s Cancelled for Friday Feb 22nd. Posted at 2:40pm Friday February 22nd: ESLAC Little A’s Cancelled. The weather bureau shows that the showers that have been hugging the coast (aka Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs) will be less intense but not go away in time for ESLAC Little A’s at ES Marks tonight so sadly we have decided to cancel for tonight. The track will be open for State Reps to do training with Byron, Leo, Mal and Sarah providing training for Middle Distance, Sprints, Hurdles and Jumps respectively.

ESLAC State Reps Announced. Congratulations to the 27 ESLAC Athletes who have made it through to the State Championships on the Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th of March 2019. These athletes will be representing ESLAC, their families and of course themselves in a total of 48 events. It takes talent and hard work in equal measure to make it through to the State Championships as well as the support of family and friends, so we thank all of those who have helped our athletes along the way. For a complete list of the Athletes who have qualified for State and their events please download a copy of the ESLAC 2019 State Qualifiers. Good luck to the ESLAC State Team at the championships in March!

100m, 400m and 200m/300m Hurdles this Friday February 22nd. This Friday February 22nd we will be running a Event Series 1 which sees the Tots run the 50m, the U6s and U7s run a 50m/100m combination, while the U8s to U17s will compete in the 100m and 400m events. The U12s to U17s will also compete in the 200m/300m Hurdles Events. You can print or download the ESLAC Event Series 1 Feb 22, 2019, the Event Series 1 Program List Feb 22, 2019 and the ESLAC ES Marks Event Locations Map Sep 19, 2018 and bring them with you on Friday night so that you know what is scheduled for your age group and where you can find your group at any time.

Barbeque Help Required (U7 Boys and U7 Girls). The barbeque is the major fund raiser for ESLAC during the season and we thank the volunteers who turn up to run it every week. This week it is the turn of the U7 age group to help out. It’s hard wrangling very young kids and helping out but it is even harder to run a barbeque without enough helpers, so why not arrange for Grandma and Grandad to watch the kids do some athletics and come and lend a helping hand at the barbeque. We are at the home stretch of the season now so it’ll be the last call out for the U7’s to help at the barbeque for this season.
