It’s the Last ESLAC Little A’s for the 2019/20 Season!

It’s our last Little A’s for the season. Friday March 6th is the last ESLAC Little A’s meet for the 2019/20 season. So with the Tiny Tot trophies waiting to be collected we have put our barbeque order in and will go ahead with Little A’s tonight despite some showers forecast for mid afternoon that are predicted to clear before 6pm.

Tiny Tots Trophy Night Friday March 6th. The main ESLAC Trophy night is being held on Sunday the 29th of March at Easts Rugby Club in Rose Bay, but it can be a bit overwhelming for our Tiny Tots, so they will be receiving their trophies this Friday the 6th of March. If you’re a Tiny Tot family please make sure you come along!

State Combined Event Championships Success. Congratulations to our State Combined Events Championships team that competed at Tamworth last weekend and special congratulations to Marnie Laurence who is the U8 Girls gold medalist and Combined Event Champion for NSW for 2020! Combined with her Regional Record in the 70m at the Regional Championships Marnie has had a great season for ESLAC.

100m, 400m and 200m/300m Hurdles this Friday Mar 6th. This Friday March 6th we will be running Event Series 1 which sees the Tots run the 50m, the U6s and U7s run a 50m/100m combination, while the U8s to U17s will compete in the 100m and 400m events. The U12s to U17s will also compete in the 200m/300m Hurdles events. The event series has been changed a bit to allow for the Tiny Tots trophy presentation and keep a look out for the monster obstacle course that may pop up during the evening for those age groups that get through their events ahead of schedule! You can print or download the ESLAC Event Series 1 Mar 6, 2020, the Event Series 1 Program List Mar 6, 2020 and the ESLAC ES Marks Event Locations Map Sep 19, 2019 and bring them with you on Friday night so that you know what is scheduled for your age group and where you can find your group at any time.

Go ESLAC’s State Team. Congratulations to the 39 athletes competing in 70 events who have fought their way through the tough competition at Zone and the even tougher competition at Regionals to make it all the way to the Little Athletics NSW State Championships. The State Titles are being held next weekend (the 14th and 15th of March) at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre (SOPAC). This is the largest contingent in living memory that ESLAC has sent to the State Championships, so congratulations to our athletes, their coaches and their families on such a great result. We look forward to seeing how our team performs and wish them every success for next weekend.

Sunday 29th of March ESLAC Trophy Night. This year we will be holding the ESLAC Trophy night on Sunday the 29th of March at the Easts Rugby Club on O’Sullivan Road Rose Bay. The trophy presentation will be followed by dinner for those who would like to stay and celebrate a great 2019/20 season for ESLAC. We will be sending out a survey email soon to find out who can attend and who can stay for dinner so we can finalise our trophy orders and let the Field Bar know how many will be attending dinner.
