Unfortunately, the gift has been cancelled tomorrow as McKay is still closed today and the event organisers need to make the call today. Whilst some of the CP fields opened today, McKay didn’t. I trained there today and it is still very wet around the north eastern side. The lane lines have faded and it is only half mowed I guess because of the water. It is a shame as I saw the handicaps and I was looking forward to watching the racing and seeing the results. Thanks again Brian Wright for including us, we will try again next year and with ES Marks back we won’t have the ground access problem.
We have however arranged for Mal tomorrow from 1100-1300 at Sylvania Athletics Track for coaching. This is open to all of our state competitors. I will be there and we can cover the middle distance runners too. Maxim will be there from 1030 for any log jumpers. It is a good training option a week out from State. It is 30-40 mins from the East. There is a gate at the northern end car park if the southern gate is closed.
Distance runners if you had planned a session maybe come out and join us. Our junior girls relay team will do some practice too.
State Team athletes, Bec has arranged some great jackets this year which will arrive this week. So you can collect them at Homebush next weekend from me or the ESLAC rep if I am not there.
