We are sad to say that McKay oval remains closed due water, so we are not able to access it tonight for our last event of the season. Clearly a challenging season that was delayed due to COVID restrictions, disrupted by the renovation of ES Marks and now the inability to access McKay.
This is especially disappointing as we wanted to farewell our under 17 Athletes and give our Tots their trophies.
We will advise of the date of the Presentation in the coming weeks. All those with Age Champion shields please drop them off at the front door of 17 Lugar Street Bronte or for those competing please give them to Drew this weekend at State Titles.
Our season isn’t over yet for the State Athletes who will compete over the weekend for the club. Best of luck and we are sure you will do well. Mal will be there for warm ups both days on the warm up track back straight. Our Instagram will be updated with the results over the weekend, so stay tuned for some great results.
Thanks to all the Age Managers, Committee members and parent helpers. There is a lot of work that goes into each Friday night and without your help we simply would not have an event or a club.
We look forward to a full season starting in September, so please let your friends know about ESLAC and encourage them to join. Registrations will open in August and best to get in early especially in the U8s,U9 and U10 age groups, as we reached our limits in those age groups this year.
Finally, for this years members, we have our winter coaching options with Mal 330-430 Tuesday and 430-530 Wednesday, Jemima and her throws group 3pm-5pm Sundays. These run from next week until September with breaks for school holidays. The fees will be updated on the website but the club subsidises the coaching for our members. We will update the coaching section of the website for our distance running and other options next week.
Thanks for your support this year and we look forward to our return to ES Marks and the benefits of the all weather track!
