Extra Coaching Available Fridays from 5pm. From this week we will have extra coaching available for Age Groups U8 and up starting at 5pm at ES marks. We will have 3 specialist coaches taking hurdles, sprints and long distance squads (throws and jumps from next week). Extra Mid Week Coaching at ES Marks Starting Tuesday 16th of October. From next week we will also be starting midweek coaching on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will be sprints/hurdles coaching with Mal Baker from 3:30-4:30pm for U8, U9, and U10 and from 4:30-5:30pm for U11-U17. We will also have distance training with Byron Crimmins from 5:45-6:45pm on Tuesdays. 200m and Javelin this Friday Oct 12th. This Friday we are running Event Series 6 with the U10 – U17 age groups will be running the 200m/800m combination while the U7 – U9 will run the 70m/200m combination and the Tots – U6 will run 50m and 70m. The U11 – U17 age groups will also get to throw the Javelin for the first time this season starting at 8pm. You can print copies (or download copies to your phone) of the ESLAC Event Series 6 Oct 12, 2018, the Event Series 6 Program List Oct 12, 2018 and the ESLAC ES Marks Event Locations Map Sep 19, 2018 and bring them with you on Friday night so that you know what is scheduled for your age group and where you can find your group at any time.
State Relay Championships Coming Up. The State Relay Championships will be held on the weekend of November 17th/18th at Sydney Olympic Park with teams from most Little Athletics Centres in NSW competing. Age Groups U8 – U11 will compete on the Junior day on Saturday the 17th of November and Age Groups U12 – U17 will compete on the Senior day on Sunday the 18th of November. ESLAC will not be automatically entering teams in each age group. Age groups that think they will be able to field competitive teams will have to check availability of their best athletes on November 17th and 18th and let their Age Manager know they want to compete. Registrations are Still Open. Please let your friends know that, even though the season has started, registrations for the 2018_19 season are still open. We have already had 3 weeks of the season but there are 16 weeks left before our last night at ES Marks on Friday the 8th of March 2019. When registering, remember that we are “Eastern Suburbs Little Athletics Club – Friday” and that if you want to claim your $100 NSW State Government Active Kids Voucher, you should visit Services NSW first to get your voucher number.
