Extra Coaching Available Fridays from 5pm. This week we will have extra coaching available for Age Groups U8 and up starting at 5pm at ES marks. We will have 5 specialist coaches taking hurdles (Mal), sprints (Leo) , long distance (Byron), throws (Jemima) and long jump (Sara). Extra Mid Week Coaching at ES Marks Started Tuesday 16th of October. Midweek coaching has started on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will be distance training (400m, 800m, 1500m) with Byron Crimmins from 5:45-6:45pm on Tuesdays only. We will also have sprints/hurdles coaching with Mal Baker on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30pm for U8, U9, and U10 and from 4:30-5:30pm for U11-U17. To be a part of our extra midweek coaching program there is a charge of $100 for the season for Tuesday night coaching and $100 for the season for Thursday night coaching, cash payments can be made to Drew Richardson (our ESLAC VP) on Friday night at the 100m front straight (grandstand side of track) or you can make an online payment to – Account Name: Eastern Suburbs Little Athletics, BSB: 012241 Account Number: 254 095 775. When paying, put your name and the night for which you are paying in the comments field, for example – $200 Tue/Fri H. Bolt. 100m, 400m and 200m/300m Hurdles this Friday October 19th. This Friday October 19th we will be running a Event Series 1 which sees the Tots run the 50m, the U6s and U7s run a 50m/100m combination, while the U8s to U17s will compete in the 100m and 400m events. The U12s to U17s will also compete in the 200m/300m Hurdles Events. You can print or download the ESLAC Event Series 1 Oct 19, 2018, the Event Series 1 Program List Oct 19, 2018 and the ESLAC ES Marks Event Locations Map Sep 19, 2018 and bring them with you on Friday night so that you know what is scheduled for your age group and where you can find your group at any time.
State Relay Championships Coming Up. The State Relay Championships will be held on the weekend of November 17th/18th at Sydney Olympic Park with teams from most Little Athletics Centres in NSW competing. Age Groups U8 – U11 will compete on the Junior day on Saturday the 17th of November and Age Groups U12 – U17 will compete on the Senior day on Sunday the 18th of November. ESLAC will not be automatically entering teams in each age group. Age groups that think they will be able to field competitive teams will have to check availability of their best athletes on November 17th and 18th and let their Age Manager know they want to compete. We will be making further announcements in coming weeks with team entries closing on October 31st. Check out the LANSW web site here for further information.
Registrations are Still Open. Please let your friends know that, even though the season has started, registrations for the 2018_19 season are still open. We have already had 4 weeks of the season but there are 15 weeks left before our last night at ES Marks on Friday the 8th of March 2019. When registering, remember that we are “Eastern Suburbs Little Athletics Club – Friday” and that if you want to claim your $100 NSW State Government Active Kids Voucher, you should visit Services NSW first to get your voucher number.
