It’s Our Last Little A’s for 2019!

It’s Our Last ESLAC Little A’s for 20019. This Friday November 29th is our last Little A’s meet for 2019. Next Friday December 6th we will be setting up for the Zone Carnival to be held next weekend on Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of December. After that we have a break from Little Athletics while our athletes, parents and carers as well as our ESLAC committee take a Christmas/New Year break but we will be back in action at ES Marks on Friday January 24th to start the 2nd half of our 2019/20 season. You can download a copy of the ESLAC 2019_20 Calendar September 26, 2019 to check out all our season dates.

Hoping for a Visitor This Friday. Drew Richardson our ESLAC President has sent out a letter to a very special person who normally lives at the North Pole (a long way from Sydney). He explained to this person that children who do Little Athletics are often very well behaved especially at ESLAC where every Friday night we usually get hundreds of PBs (personal bests) because ESLAC athletes try so hard to always do their best. Drew told this person we are all very impressed by our ESLAC athletes and perhaps they deserve something special around Christmas time. Lets hope his letter does the trick for this Friday night!

ESLAC Zone Entries Submitted. ESLAC has submitted our entries for the 2019 Zone Carnival next weekend (Dec 7th and 8th) with 138 ESLAC athletes set to compete in 484 events. Last year Eastern Suburbs did not enter the largest team at Zone but we were still crowned Zone Champions because ESLAC athletes gained more points in finals than any other club at Zone. Since we are one of the strongest Zones in NSW that was a fantastic achievement. After ESLAC’s stellar performance at the State Relay Championships this season we are hoping for big things again from this year’s Zone team. GO ESLAC!

200m and Javelin this Friday October 18th. This Friday we are running Event Series 6 with the U10 – U17 age groups running the 200m/800m combination while the U7 – U9 will run a 70m/200m combination and the Tots – U6 will run 50m and 70m. The U11 – U17 age groups will also get to throw the Javelin starting at 8pm. You can print copies (or download copies to your phone) of the ESLAC Event Series 6 Nov 29, 2019 the Event Series 6 Program List Nov 29, 2019 and the ESLAC ES Marks Event Locations Map Sep 19, 2018 and bring them with you on Friday night so that you know what is scheduled for your age group and where you can find your group at any time.

State Championships Event List Matrix Released. When deciding which events to do for Zone it can sometimes be helpful to know what your timetable might be like if you made it all the way through to the State Titles on March 14th and 15th 2020. Be optimistic and take a look at the 2020 State program — MATRIX OF EVENTS before you select your events for Zone.
