ESLAC’s State Team for the 2020 LANSW State Championships Announced. Congratulations to the 39 athletes who have fought their way through the tough competition at Zone and the even tougher competition at Regionals to make it all the way to the Little Athletics NSW State Championships being held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre (SOPAC) on the 14th and 15th of March. This is the largest contingent in living memory that ESLAC has sent to the State Championships, so congratulations to our athletes, their coaches and their families on such a great result. Congratulations also must go to our new ESLAC President, Drew Richardson, for doing such a great job arranging coaching and generally building ESLAC into a club that can provide the support needed to help so many athletes qualify for State. Hurdles and Walks this Friday. This Friday February 21st we will be running Event Series 5 which sees the Tots to U7 running 50m and 70m with the U6’s getting a taste of middle distance running with a 300m run at 7pm. The U8s and U9s will run 60m hurdles and 70m and then a 400m all in lanes at 8pm. The under 10s to U17s combine 400m with hurdles and a walk race. Sunday 29th of March ESLAC Trophy Night Save the Date! This year we will be holding the ESLAC Trophy night on Sunday the 29th of March. The trophy presentation will be followed by dinner for those who would like to stay and celebrate a great 2019/20 season for ESLAC. We will be sending out a survey email in the next few weeks to find out who can attend and who can stay for dinner so we can finalise our trophy orders and let the Field Bar know how many will be attending dinner.
Tiny Tots Trophy Presentation. Another important date is Friday the 6th of March, not only is it our last ESLAC Little A’s meet of the season, it is also the Tiny Tots trophy presentation night. The ESLAC trophy night on Sunday the 29th of March is a bit overwhelming for our Tiny Tots so we try and have a fun last night of Little A’s on March 6th and make sure the Tiny Tots end on a high with Trophy in hand! If you are a Tiny Tot family please don’t miss it.
