State Relay Success
for ESLAC. Congratulations to all the teams that competed for ESLAC in last weekends State Relay Championships and thanks to our competition coordinator Ben Thomas for putting it all together.
ESLAC Teams won silver medals in the U8, U9 and U10 Boys 4 x 100m teams on Saturday and then silver in the U14 Girls 4 x 100m, silver in the U12 Girls Long/High and gold in the U13 Mixed 4 x 400m on Sunday. All the ESLAC spectators shared the disappointment when our red hot Girls U15 and Boys U17 4 x 100m teams were disqualified but we are proud of the effort that the teams put in and hope that the experience gained on the weekend makes all the ESLAC competitors even stronger for next year’s championships.
Zone Championship Nominations. The Zone Championships will be held on Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of December at ES Marks Athletics Field (the same venue used for our Friday night competitions). Nominations closed last Friday November 21st and the ESLAC Zone Team will be posted as soon as it is finalised in the coming days. week is the turn of the U7 Boys and U7 Girls to provide the volunteers for the barbeque. Consult the barbeque roster to see when your age group is providing volunteers.
