It’s the Last ESLAC Little A’s for 2018/19 Season. Friday March 8th will be the last ESLAC Little A’s meet at ES Marks for the 2018/19 season. This Friday we will have some special events planned to mark our season end and will be running a modified version of Event Series 3.
Stawell Gift Runners Guest Appearance. This Friday at 7pm we have invited several athletes who have been training for Australia’s premier Sprint Event, the Stawell Gift, to come and run with us at ES Marks. The field will include the men’s favourite for this year’s Gift, so if you want to see some athletes really smoke up the Front Straight come over to the grandstand side of the track after the Tiny Tots presentation.
Tiny Tots Season Award Presentation. The last night of the season is a special night for the Tiny Tots because they receive their Season Award. Tiny Tots are a bit too young for the ESLAC trophy night so Friday March 8th is their big night! Some special events, some old favourites and an award, it’s a night not to miss.
Farewell to our Senior Athletes. It’s also a special night at the other end of the age scale, with 5 ESLAC U17 athletes who will have their last Little A’s meet this Friday. Jemima Keay Doak, Emily Mackay, Miah Madden, Roy Hampshire and Fred Whalebone, thanks from all of us for the years you have put in at ESLAC and we hope we will see at least some of you back at the club helping with organisation and coaching in the future.
Save the Date Sunday March 31st, 2019. Save the date! We have booked the Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club on O’Sullivan Road Rose Bay for our Trophy Night on Sunday March 31st 2019, so it is only 3 weeks away. Our trophy night has run late the last few seasons because we have struggled to get our results into the system on time, but this season we are on track so have pulled the trophy night back to a more fitting date at the end of March. Save the date, we look forward to seeing you there.
Modified Event Series 3 this Friday. This Friday the 8th of March we will be running a modified Event Series 3 which sees the Tots run 50m, the U6 and U7s run 50m and 70m, the U8 to U10s run a 100m/200m combination and the U11and U12s run the 100m and 800m while the Senior athletes will run a 200m/800m combination. You can download copies of the ESLAC End of Year 2019 the End of Year Program List Mar 8, 2019 and the ESLAC ES Marks Event Locations Map Sep 19, 2018 and bring them with you on Friday night so that you know what is scheduled for your age group and where you can find your group at any time.
Go ESLAC State Reps! The LANSW State Championships will be held on Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th of March 2019. 27 athletes will be representing ESLAC, their families and of course themselves in a total of 48 events. It takes talent and hard work in equal measure to make it through to the State Championships as well as the support of family and friends, so we thank all of those who have helped our athletes along the way. For a complete list of the Athletes who have qualified for State and their events please download a copy of the ESLAC 2019 State Qualifiers. Good luck to the ESLAC State Team at the championships!
