State Relay Teams Announced/Halloween

State Relay Teams Announced. Many thanks to Ben Thomas, our Competitions Coordinator, for putting together our teams for the State Relay Championships which will be held for U8 to U17 athletes at SOPAC Homebush on the 22nd and 23rd of November 2014 (download the State Relay list of events 2014 to check the events for your age group). Download the ESLAC State Relay Teams 2014 PDF file to see if you have been selected. As you will see from the list there are still many gaps in the teams to be filled so contact your Age Manager or Ben Thomas if you think you deserve to represent ESLAC in the championships.

Training for the relays is extremely important so download the State Relay Teams Training Schedule and please advise Ben Thomas or your Age Manager if you cannot make it to any of the compulsory training nights.

Why is Little A’s Important for Halloween? When being chased by ghouls, gremlins or ghosts here’s what you can do: jump over the ravine and leave them on the other side (long jump), push them down the well (shot put), sprint over the obstacles you leave in their way (hurdles), spear them (javelin) or best of all…. RUN!!! As you can see, Little A’s is the perfect practice for surviving Halloween.

So keep up your survival skills and we will see you all at ES Marks on Friday 31st of October!

Barbeque Roster. This week is the turn of the U12 Girls and U12 Boys to provide the volunteers for the barbeque. Consult the barbeque roster to see when your age group is providing volunteers.

Registrations are still open. ESLAC Little A’s is the perfect compliment to school sports. Our competitions are on Friday nights, leaving Saturday free for school sports and there are 16 Friday night competitions left in the season! Visit our registration page for more information about how to join ESLAC.
