EASLAC is Back for 2017. This Friday January 20th sees the return of ESLAC’s Friday night competitions for the second half of the Little Athletics Season. We hope everyone has had a great Christmas/New Year break and that you are looking forward to getting your running shoes back on. There are 8 weeks of our 20 week season left to go, so there is plenty of Athletics in store for the 1st part of 2017.
Congratulations to the ESLAC Regional Team. ESLAC has a team of 75 Athletes who have qualified for 178 events at the Regional Carnival to be held at Sylvania Waters Athletics Track on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the 27th, 28th and 29th of January. Please download a copy of the ESLAC Regional Team and Events 2016-2017 to see who has qualified for Regionals. The 3000m events will be held on Friday evening with First Call at 6:45pm and Events Commencing at 7:00pm. On Saturday and Sunday the First Call will be at 7:45am with Events Commencing at 8:00am. You can also download a copy of the 2017 Region 8 Program V3 Final (please note the 300m on Friday starts at 7pm not 6pm as shown in this program) and we encourage all Regional Competitors and Parents to read the Regional Carnival Information Pack 2017.
100m and 3000m this Friday. This Friday January 20th we will be running Event Series 3 which sees the Tots running 50m, the U6’s and U7′s running 50m and 100m, U8 to U12′s running 100m and 200m, and the U13′s to U17′s running the 100m and 800m events. There is also a test for the long distance runners with a 3000m event scheduled for the U13’s to U17’s at 8:00pm. Barbeque Roster. After membership fees the ESLAC barbeque is the club’s major source of revenue for the season. This week it is the turn of the U9 Boys and U9 Girls Parents to assist with the barbeque. Registrations are Still Open. The ESLAC Little Athletics season runs right through until March 2017 (with a Christmas/New Year break), so there is plenty of athletics left this season. Registrations are done online through the Little Athletics NSW Online Registration System. You will then be able to complete your registration before the competition starts at ES Marks on Fridays by reporting to Ilana, our registrar, from 5:30pm at the registration desk as you walk into ES Marks.
