ESLAC Holiday Dates. ESLAC will have a break over the October long weekend which is coming up this weekend. So there will be no Little As on Friday the 29th of September but we will be back the following week on October the 6th so there will be some Little Athletics to look forward to in the school holidays. Please download a copy of our ESLAC Calendar 2017_2018 Season for all the key dates for the 2017/18 Season.
Barbeque Roster. We have appointed a new barbeque manager for the 2017/18 season, her name is Natalie Jaeger and to help her in her new role we are implementing a barbeque roster for the rest of the season. Please download a copy of the ESLAC Barbeque Roster 2017_2018 Season to see when your age group is rostered on the help out.
On Friday October the 6th (next competition night) it will be the turn of the U9 age group to help out. So if you nominated to help out at the barbeque on your volunteer form and you are available, then please go to the barbeque area and ask for Natalie. Setting up the barbeque is always a particular challenge so if we could have some volunteers at around 5:30pm it would be greatly appreciated.
Registration Finalisation. If you haven’t registered yet for the 2017/18 season, don’t worry, there is still plenty of time, simply click here to register online now or visit our registration page to get more information. To finalise your registration there will be 3 queues at the registration desk that you will pass on your way to the ES Marks track on Friday night:
- One queue will be for new members who will need to show athlete ID (passport or birth certificate preferred) to confirm the correct age group has been selected and hand in their 2017 LANSW Working With Children Declaration and ESLAC Parental Obligations Aug 1, 2016 forms before picking up their registration pack.
- Another queue will be for returning members who only need to hand in their 2017 LANSW Working With Children Declaration and ESLAC Parental Obligations Aug 1, 2016 forms before picking up their registration pack.
- The 3rd queue will be for those who already registered on our first registration night (thank you for doing this it really helps us) but were issued temporary plastic registration numbers for Tots to U11s and their dual registration number for U12 to U17s because we had not yet received our RFID enabled ESLAC registration numbers. Simply hand in your plastic number, or show your dual registration number to receive the RFID enabled ESLAC number that is to be sewn onto your ESLAC uniform.
After the registration rush at the start of the night we will move the RFID enabled number collection from the registration desk to the back straight timing desk for the Tots to U11s and the front straight timing desk for the U12 to U17s.
Uniforms Sales. Uniform sales will be available each Friday night for the first several weeks of the season at the change rooms on the eastern side of ES Marks field. Please visit our Uniform Page for full details about the ESLAC uniform including costs etc.
Registering with ESLAC for the 2017/18 Season
Registration is a 3 step process:
Step 1 – All registrations are done online through Little Athletics NSW. Click here to register online now. Please note that for security reasons, ESLAC prefers not to accept membership payments, so all registration payments should be made online at the time of registration by clicking the “Submit Application & Pay Online” button when it is offered.
Step 2 – Registration can be completed now by coming to our 2nd registration night scheduled for Thursday the 7th of September from 5:00pm, or arriving early on your first competition night (from 5:15pm) and visiting Ilana, our registrar, at the registration desk on the way into ES Marks just before you see the track. Athletes who have completed the online part of registration, including online payment, will be asked for their completed 2017 LANSW Working With Children Declaration and ESLAC Parental Obligations Aug 1, 2016 forms (these were downloaded as part of the online registration process and should be completed prior to attending the registration). Once the forms are received athletes are given a registration pack that includes their registration number and age group and sponsor patches.
Step 3 – This step only applies to athletes who are new to the club for the 2017/2018 season. You MUST bring a proof of age document that can be sighted by the club registrar so that the registered athlete’s age group can be confirmed. Birth certificate or passport are the preferred proof of age documents.
Notes:
- Little Athletes registering for the first time for the 2017/18 season will be asked to select a centre and then a club. In both cases choose “Eastern Suburbs Little Athletics Club-Friday“
- Remember, you are registering your little athletes not yourself so please ensure you enter the correct details i.e. make sure you use the Little Athlete’s name and not yours. When supplying an email address be mindful that this is the email address the ESLAC committee will use to communicate with you about ESLAC events and information during the season.
Age Groups
To see what age group your Little Athlete is in please consult the ESLAC Registration Ages 2017/2018 Season.
