Weather is Clearing. The weather is clearing and ESLAC Little Athletics will be on a 6pm tonight (warm up at 5:45pm). The Weather Bureau says the showers will clear by 5pm and the winds will drop to a more pleasant 12 knot south easterly by 6pm. The temperature is forecast to be around 20°C by 6pm and should actually feel a little warmer by 8pm as the winds drop during the evening.
State Relay Championships Coming Up. The LANSW State Relay Championships will be coming up on the 18th and 19th of November. There are some complicated events that can be entered but ESLAC usually sticks to the 4 x 100m relays or the 4 x 400m relays. The 4 x 400m relays require 2 female 400m runners and 2 male 400m runners in each team, while the 4 x 100m events are 4 x male or 4 x female teams. ESLAC will only be entering teams that we think will be competitive this season, so if your age group thinks you have what it takes (speed, focus and a willingness to do some serious relay training) then please speak to your Age Manager tonight.
Event Series 3 this Friday. This Friday the 27th of October we will be running Event Series 3 which sees the Tots run 50m, the U6 and U7s run 50m and 70m, the U8 to U10s run a 100m/200m combination and the U11 to U17s run 100m and 800m. Please download the ESLAC Event Series 3 Oct 27, 2017, the Event Series 3 Program List Oct 27, 2017 and the ESLAC ES Marks Event Locations Map Oct 6, 2017 so you can bring them along on Friday night and know what is scheduled for your age group and where you can find your group at any time.
Coaching Options. Please be reminded that we have started our club coaching program. It is available to ESLAC members who are looking to compete at the Zone, Regional and State championships.
