NSW State Relay Championships this Weekend. There have been a few changes to the ESLAC Relay teams for the NSW State Relay Championships this weekend. Please check out the ESLAC State Relay Junior Entries Nov 2019 V3 and the ESLAC State Relay Senior Entries Nov 2019 V3 to see who is in the team. The athletes who are highlighted in yellow are changes from the original team lists published last week (V2) and the spaces highlighted in orange are where we have team members unable to make it to SOPAC this weekend where we are looking for replacements. There are opportunities in the U13 Boys (we need 2) and the U17 Girls where we need one extra member to field teams this Sunday. Interested U13 Boys and U17 Girls should come along tonight to press for selection in the vacant spots. The State Relays are being held at Sydney Olympic Park, the Junior day (U8 – U11) is on Saturday the 16th and the Senior day (U12 – U17) is on Sunday the 17th of November. ESLAC has entered 31 teams this year. You can download a copy of the 2019 State Relay Event List With Times to work out what time you need to get to SOPAC next weekend and there is also a Relays Information for Competitors 2019. Zone Nominations Open. The Zone nominations table will be open this Friday night (Nov 15th) and next Friday night (Nov 22nd). Each year ESLAC athletes from ages U7 to U17 are invited to participate in the Zone Carnival held at our home track of ES Marks Athletics Field on Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of December. It costs $20 to nominate for the Zone Carnival and the parent/carer of each entrant is expected to volunteer for 2 hours as a helper or pay a $50 non-volunteer levy. U7 to U11 athletes can enter a maximum of 4 events each and U12 to U17 athletes can enter a maximum of 6 events each. Our Zone, the Inner City Zone, is made up of 8 clubs and is one of the strongest Zones in Australia. Each of the 8 clubs can enter a maximum of 5 athletes in each event for the U7 to U11 age groups (there is no limit on Club entries for U12 to U17 athletes), so entries for U7 to U11 are competitive and the final say on who will represent ESLAC will be based on Friday night events results as judged by the ESLAC Committee.
