The event is planned for tonight and if the forecast gets worse and the event is cancelled we will advise by 1300.

The timing system did record the times last week but we could not upload the results. On the website if you log in to the “family log in” under results HQ you will see the results. Importantly, we have the results for the points system.  We will attach a PDF of the results to the website today for those that can’t navigate results HQ.  We have contacted the software provider to rectify the problem and return to the old system..

There is a fee for Zone of $20 which covers entry but all zone competitors get this years ESLAC competition shirt and we supply coaches across the two days at the carnival to warm up and provide advice to the competitors.  Parents will need to register on the parent volunteer roster for a 2 hour period or pay the non volunteer fee.  We normally operate the two discuss circles and other duties for the whole event.  If you want to watch your athlete or can’t commit you will need to pay the non volunteer fee as we will hire ex athletes to cover your duty.

We encourage all athletes that have any interest in competition to register and please try to register for a few events,  whilst the standard is very high often hurdles, walks, throws and jumps may give your athlete a good chance to progress to Regionals.  Particularly if you are in our coaching programs.

Some key information about this Friday is outlined below:

  1. If we cancel due to weather this will be notified by 1300 on a Friday (website, Instagram and facebook).  We try to ensure we hold the event but if heavy rain/storms are forecast at the time of our event we will cancel as our electronic timing gear is impacted by the heavy rain.
  2. New members collecting your registrations, please bring proof of age for your athlete (birth certificate or passport)
  3. Please remember you will need to complete the working with children form (required by Little Athletics NSW) as you will accessing the general area.  Please note that you will not need to have a Working With Children clearance just complete the form if you are only performing limited parent helper duties etc.  Registration collection will be available from 1700
  4. At registrations you will also need to complete the parental obligations form advise whether you will help the age manager, help on the BBQ or be paying the non volunteer fee $70 for a child or $120 for a family.  We require one carer from each family to assist each week and if this not possible please pay the non volunteer fee at registration.  We use this money to arrange a large crew of ex athletes to ensure the event functions each week.
  5. Uniforms will be open as well but to ensure you don’t miss the event if required just pin your number on your athlete’s shirt so they can start with the other athletes and then you can purchase the uniform through the evening.  Uniforms has sold out of the small sizes and we are awaiting the new stock. Uniforms like many other purchases are slower than normal at the moment.  We will publicise when we expect new stock which is still a few weeks away.
