ESLAC is Back for 2018. The second half of the ESLAC 2017/18 Little Athletics season starts tonight Friday the 19th of January with Event Series 3. This week is week 13 of 20 weeks in the season so there are 8 weeks of Little Athletics left in the season. Next Friday coincides with Australia day on January 26th and we have decided not to compete with all of the other Australia Day activities over the long weekend and there will be no ESLAC Little Athletics on January 26th.
Regional Carnival. The Region 8 Athletics Carnival will be held at the Ridge Athletics Track, Recreation Dr, Barden Ridge on Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th of February. 75 of the 119 ESLAC athletes who entered Zone have progressed through to Regionals. When you consider that 13 of those who competed at Zone were U7s who aren’t eligible to compete at Regionals, you can see what an outstanding result that is for our club. Congratulations to all those athletes and families who will be going to Regionals. Regional Team Meeting. At 7:30pm this evening there will be a compulsory meeting for the members of the ESLAC Regional team. Please meet near the Age Managers’ table to get all the latest information on the Regional Carnival.
Event Series 3 this Friday. This Friday the 27th of October we will be running Event Series 3 which sees the Tots run 50m, the U6 and U7s run 50m and 70m, the U8 to U10s run a 100m/200m combination and the U11 to U17s run 100m and 800m. Please download the ESLAC Event Series 3 Jan 19, 2017, the Event Series 3 Program List Jan 19, 2018 and the ESLAC ES Marks Event Locations Map Oct 6, 2017 so you can bring them along on Friday night and know what is scheduled for your age group and where you can find your group at any time.
You can Still Register for Little Athletics for the 2017/18 Season. There are still 8 weeks of Little Athletics action left this season so there is plenty of time to register. While there are no discounts (LANSW don’t allow discounts when registering through their system) there is a $50 cash rebate for late season entries that is refunded when you register again for next season.
