The weather looks good for some fast times on the track and a visit from the special guest in the red suit. For those that haven’t seen it, stand aside and observe our ESLAC athletes harness their competitive instinct to secure that last chocolate or lolly. Our visitor will appear around 1825 to cover both the first session and the start of the second session.
Remember we are at ES Marks Friday 3 December, as the track work has been delayed and this is our last night before the Christmas break.
Please support the club and buy a ticket in the $10 raffle. The first prize is a fantastic SLSA approved Nippy foam nipper board from the team at Nippy who are also great parents from the club. If you don’t need a Nipper board the alternate first prize is a case of Mumm Champagne …. there may be some disappointed kids tomorrow night! Our second prize is a fantastic G Shock watch (thanks Piers and Bec Halleen). If ticket sales go well, it will be drawn at 19:30 so please support the club.
This week is the last week to enter Zones. If you are interested in the competition please register for the Zones Carnival on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 January. We can send at least five athletes to every event and we want to showcase the talented ESLAC athletes. It is great practice for their school zone and regional programs too. It will be held at the Crest Athletics track at Bankstown. The program is the same as the last zone in 2019. The two minor changes are the 80M hurdle events will be on Sunday not Saturday and the relays will be earlier in the day on Sunday rather than the last event. Click here to view the 2019 program.. The Region 8 Carnival is planned to follow zone on Saturday 19 and Sun 20 February.
We have received stock of the size 4, size 6 and size 8 uniform singlets which will be on sale.
