The Weather is Clearing Little A’s is On! Finally the weather Gods are smiling on us. The radar shows that the storms have cleared so ESLAC Little A’s is ON for this Friday Jan 29th. We look forward to seeing everyone at ES Marks tonight.
Welcome to the 2nd Half of the ESLAC Season. After our attempt to restart the 2015/16 season was called off last week due to terrible weather, it is time for us to try again! This Friday we will be running Event Series 4 with Tots to U7 running 70m and 100m (that is a big night for the Tots), U8s running 100m and 700m, U9 & U10 running 100m and 800m and the U11 to Seniors running 100m and 1500m. We also have a laned 400m for the U10s & U11s and 200m Hurdles for the U12s and Seniors.
Regional Championships this Weekend. ESLAC sends its huge team off to the Region 8 Championships this weekend at the Sylvania Waters Athletic Track on 30-31 January 2016 (the Regional 3000m events are on Friday night but ESLAC has no qualifiers for the 3000m). A new listing of the event order has been posted (sorry the Regional Committee still has not listed nominal starting times against events) as linked in the following list:

Barbeque Roster. We have implemented a barbeque roster to help share the load on the regular barbeque volunteers. This week it is the turn of the U10 age group to assist with the barbeque. Please download a copy of the ESLAC Barbeque Roster 2015_2016 Season to see when your age group is rostered on to help out.
Registrations are Still Open. At the start of a new term parents are always thinking about sport for the new term. Even though we are half way through the season, Little A’s is still a great sporting option for the first term of the year with our season finishing with the State Championships the week before Good Friday which is the end of term for many schools. Coaching. The Regional Championships are this weekend 29 – 31 January! Coaching is available each Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm at ES Marks Athletics Field, primarily aimed at athletes from the U8 age group and above. The U8 to U10 athletes coaching session is from 3:30 to 4:30, while the U11 to U17 age groups session is from 4:30 to 5:30. ESLAC training resumes again on Tuesday the 19th of January 2016 and finishes for the season on Thursday the 17th of March, which is the last Thursday before the LANSW State Championships.
