The State Relay Championships. The LANSW State Relay Championships are being held on Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th of November. Nominations close on Wednesday the 1st of November. ESLAC will only enter teams that nominate through their age managers by next Wednesday. If you think your age group can put together a competitive team please register your interest with your Age Manager this Friday.
Event Series 3 this Friday. We will be running Event Series 3 this Friday the 27th of October.
New Coaching Options Available. ESLAC has started our 2017/18 specialist coaching program. Our coaching is aimed at athletes who want to compete at Zone, Regional or State Titles. The mid-week program is available and is for under 8 athletes and above. The Friday program is available for under 7 and above.
Specialist group coaching is an extra charge but it is subsidised through your membership of ESLAC. Sprints and Hurdles training is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a charge of $150 to cover the remainder of the season. Sprints, Distance Running, Jumps and Throws coaching is available on Friday nights from 5:10 pm before our ESLAC Little As meet. The Friday night option is charged at $80 for the remainder of the season. For those who want to go for midweek and Friday coaching $200 will cover both for the rest of the season. New High Jump Mats. ESLAC has invested in new High Jump mats this season. They are the scissor jump mat style that meets the new LANSW requirement that all athletes up to and including U10s use the scissor jump style for all Little Athletics competitions. We will have 2 scissor mats at the southern end of ES Marks along with a dedicated Junior High Jump mat. All U11 to U17 athletes will be using HJ 3 at the northern end of ES Marks which will be set up with Senior High Jump mats. The ESLAC ES Marks Event Locations Map Oct 6, 2017 has been updated to show the new high jump positions.
You can Still Register for Little Athletics for the 2017/18 Season. There are still 15 weeks of Little Athletics action left this season so there is plenty of time to register.
