It is the last ESLAC Meet for 2017! While it’s the last ESLAC Little A’s meet for 2017 we are only just over half way through our season (week 12 of 20) and we have the Zone Carnival next weekend on the 9th and 10th of December. We will take a break over the Christmas/New Year period and our first meet of 2018 will be on Friday January 19th.

The previous version of our calendar had a meet on Friday January 26th but we will be too busy watching the Sydney Ferries race on the harbour and having our own Australia day barbeques to be able to make it to ES Marks as well, so that date has been removed from the season. 2017 Zone Entries Have Closed. Thank you to the 119 ESLAC athletes who have entered a total of 413 events for Zone! Each of the 8 clubs in our Zone is only able to enter a maximum of 5 athletes per event. Unfortunately we were over-subscribed in a few events and we had to accept entries on the basis of performance in those events in our Friday night meets. The U7 Girls, U8 Girls and Boys and U12 Boys had too many athletes in some events. Please note that the entries were done manually this year so it is VERY IMPORTANT that you check the following links, not only to ensure that the correct event entries have been submitted but that your name, registration number and age/gender are also correct.

Zone Clash with the Australian All Schools Championships. The Zone carnival will clash with the Australian All School Championships this year. Hurdles Night Friday December 1st. Tonight is hurdles night and there will be extra hurdles training from 5pm specifically for those athletes that will be running hurdles at Zone. We will be running Event Series 2 (this series was washed out last time around) that features Walks for the U9s to U11s and 400m for the U12s to U17s. There is also a 500m Pack Strat for the U7s which will be great practise for the 4 athletes that will be running this event at Zone. You can print copies of the ESLAC Event Series 2 Dec 1, 2017 and the Event Series 2 Program List Dec 1, 2017 and the ESLAC ES Marks Event Locations Map Oct 6, 2017 and bring them with you tonight so that you know what is scheduled for your age group and where you can find your group at any time.
Barbeque Roster U8 Boys and Girls Parents/Carers this Week. It is the turn of the U8 Parents/Carers to help out at the barbeque this week. It is the time of the year when there are school concerts and presentation nights etc and we know that there are some of our regular key helpers who are unable to make it this week. That means that we are looking for those that can attend to help out, specially this week.
You can Still Register for Little Athletics for the 2017/18 Season. There are still 10 weeks of Little Athletics action left this season so there is plenty of time to register.
